Shopify Sidekick × Fenix
Your shipping data, answered in seconds.
Ask plain-English questions about shipments, carrier performance, delivery promises, exceptions and cost — directly inside Shopify Sidekick.
Fenix supplies the fulfillment intelligence; Sidekick becomes the conversational interface.
Here is your on-time delivery performance:
From a question in Shopify to live shipping intelligence
Ask in Sidekick
Type a natural-language question from the Shopify Admin.
Sidekick calls Fenix
Shopify invokes Fenix's Sidekick-enabled app tools to retrieve the right shipping data.
Fenix returns insight
Live shipping intelligence, metrics and exception detail are returned for the request.
Act without leaving Shopify
Follow up, drill down and move directly into the relevant Fenix or Shopify workflow.
Shipping intelligence without another dashboard
Why it matters: teams no longer need to switch into a separate console, navigate multiple reports, or wait for a manual data pull just to answer a shipping question.
From installed app to shipping answers in four steps
Shopify's supported third-party app flow is conversational: Sidekick identifies the relevant installed app, asks the merchant for approval, and activates that app for the current conversation.
Install / connect Fenix in Shopify
The merchant must have the Fenix Shopify app installed and configured with the required permissions and Fenix data connection.
Open Sidekick
From Shopify Admin, open Sidekick and ask a shipping question — for example, “Which carrier had the most late deliveries last week?”
Approve Fenix for the conversation
Before Sidekick uses a supported third-party app, Shopify asks the merchant to approve access. Approval applies to that conversation.
Ask, analyze, follow up
Sidekick can then invoke Fenix's registered app tools to retrieve data and answer follow-up questions in context.
What the approval moment can look like
The exact UI is controlled by Shopify, but the merchant experience is intentionally lightweight.
Use Fenix Commerce for this request?
Sidekick would like to access Fenix capabilities to answer your shipping question.
Important for implementation: Shopify requires Sidekick-compatible app extensions. An existing standalone MCP server cannot be plugged into Sidekick directly; Fenix's tools must be exposed through Shopify's Sidekick app-tool framework.
